Capturing the rich colors of the original, this is a newly restored reproduction of the popular oil painting. It was first created for AA Grapevine and appeared as a center spread in the December 1955 issue.
"The Man on the Bed" refers to Bill Dotson (AA Number 3), who was an early alcoholic patient visited in June 1935 at Akron City Hospital by AA co-founders Bill Wilson and Dr. Bob Smith.
